Worst Club, Best Members

The Infertility Community is filled with some of the bravest, kindest, most badass women I have ever met. It's like walking into a women's washroom at a bar - you're complimented and supported just for being alive.

The Infertility Community is different, though. These women have walked through pain that many will never understand, yet they share so openly and honestly. Going through infertility absolutely sucks, but finding people who get it (like REALLY get it) makes it a little bit less sucky.

Worst Club, Best Members is a saying that is often used. No one really wants to be there, no one chose to be there, and no one wishes for more members to join. It is a community that keeps growing though. Infertility deserves so much more. The Instagram space is a place where strangers become friends and confide in each other. It's a place where everyone knows the acronyms and the various protocols. A space where you don’t have to explain yourself. A safe space. It's a place where you can share how you feel without judgment. The messy feelings of jealousy and the feelings of baby shower dread. It's a place where you can slide into someone's DMs, ask them questions about their journey, and receive their life story. Its a space that I never knew existed until I needed to. And I sure am grateful that I found it.

I will never be able to properly thank the women who welcomed me into that community, shared, and cheered me on.

Paying it forward is what I aim to do.
