April 20th - 26th is National Infertility Awareness Week.

This year's theme is Infertility Unfiltered - aimed to highlight the importance of sharing experiences and stories, unfiltered and raw.

Last year, I made a promise to myself to acknowledge this week every year going forward. To honor my journey, no matter what it looks like year to year. To raise awareness, educate, and to be a support to those who need it most.

This week, I will be sharing a little bit every day. I encourage those interested to try to read with an open mind and heart. 1 in 6 couples will experience infertility. Approximately 15% - 25% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. 1 in 100 women will experience recurrent pregnancy loss. Someone you know has experienced, is presently experiencing, or will someday go through a journey with infertility or loss. Many do this in silence, while facing pressure, judgment, and questions from family, friends, colleagues, and strangers.

I am 1 in 4. I am 1 in 6. I am 1 in 100.

Sharing for awareness, so that others won't feel alone.
